Facilities & Spaces
Every space at our Costa Rica retreat center is designed to inspire peace. From the open-air Yoga Pagoda to the jungle-view decks, each area harmonizes with nature, fostering deep connection and relaxation.
The Yoga Pagoda: An open-air masterpiece for yoga, workshops, and group gatherings, blending modern functionality with jungle serenity.
The Yoga Pagoda
The heart of The Sanctuary beats within our stunning Yoga Pagoda.
This 1,200 square foot, Tropical Modern Zen masterpiece, crafted from eco-harvested teak, provides an expansive and unobstructed space for yoga asanas, dance, workshops, and communal gatherings.
Its open walls invite the vibrant jungle and flourishing gardens inside, while innovative design ensures optimal ventilation and uninterrupted views.
Beyond the main practice area, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed Puja and Meditation wing for quiet contemplation, modern amenities, and a welcoming Salon area—all fostering connection, inspiration, and deep transformation.
Open-Air Decks
Our dedicated open-air decks are sacred spaces offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding natural beauty.
Perched high above the jungle canopy, you feel the tranquility of being suspended between earth and sky, where heaven and earth softly meet.
Awaken with the sounds of the jungle and greet the day with a sunrise sun gazing practice, followed by transformative yoga, meditation, and breathwork. As evening falls, close your day beneath a dramatic “painted sky” sunset.
These immersive platforms truly connect you with nature’s energy, offering an unparalleled setting for mindful movement and stillness.
Pool & Spa Area: A sanctuary within a sanctuary; relax with therapeutic treatments & soothing massages.
Pool & Spa Area
Rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit at our exquisite pool and spa, where tailored treatments and therapeutic massages await.
There is something uniquely delightful about being immersed in the heart of the jungle—surrounded by lush greenery, birdsong, and flowing rivers—while also savoring the comfort of healing touch, warm water, and serene rest.
Unwind in this sanctuary space, allowing your entire being to soften, revitalize, and integrate the insights and experiences of your retreat.
Our spa is a haven for deep relaxation and restoration, perfect for soothing the body after a day of yoga, meditation, ceremony, and jungle exploration.
Dining & Communal Spaces
Savor nourishing meals by the cascading waterfalls in our communal dining areas, where nature, community, and conscious nourishment come together.
For us, food is medicine—a sacred part of the healing journey. We honor living foods, crafting our own ferments, kombucha, sprouts, and broths with organic, locally sourced ingredients.
Each meal is prepared with love and presence, nourishing both body and spirit while fostering connection and community.
Signature Experiences
Beyond daily practices, The Sanctuary invites you into powerful, immersive experiences designed to open the heart, release what no longer serves, and reconnect you with your inner wisdom.
These journeys support a return to your natural state of being—where you can remember, embody, and express who you truly are, fully and freely.
This is part of what makes our offerings unique among Costa Rica retreat centers: a sacred invitation to come home to yourself.
Sound Healing Gong Bath
Experience a transcendent hour of guided pranayama, yoga nidra, and an other-worldly gong bath. Our 32-inch symphonic gong, one of only four of its kind on the planet, accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls and tuning forks, offers an amazing energetic infusion, optimally enjoyed at sunset.
A sacred immersion into vibration, stillness, and renewal. Through sound, aromatherapy, and energetic attunement, you’re guided into deep relaxation. A space where the nervous system resets, the heart opens, and the subtle body realigns.
Here, sound becomes a bridge, helping you harmonize with the Sanctuary’s natural field and rest into the living music of the jungle.
It’s an invitation to fully arrive—in the space, in your body, and in the truth of the present moment.

A transcendent session with Tibetan singing bowls & one of the world’s few symphonic gongs.

A heart-opening ritual blending meditation, movement, and sound healing.
Cacao Ceremony
A heart-opening ritual rooted in ancient tradition, inviting you to reconnect with yourself, others, and the spirit of the land.
Through the sacred medicine of cacao, breath, and intention, we soften the mind, awaken the heart, and create space for deep presence.
Held within the Sanctuary’s natural embrace, the ceremony becomes a portal—a return to the essence of being, where you can listen inward, share authentically, and remember the simple truth of connection and love.
Waterfall Wellness Ritual
A ceremonial cleansing guided by the pure, living waters of the jungle.
This ritual invites you to release what no longer serves—through breath, intention, and the elemental power of water—letting the flow carry away stagnant energy, tension, and emotional weight.
Held beneath sacred falls, the ritual becomes a profound return to simplicity and presence. It’s a moment of renewal—where the body, mind, and spirit are cleansed, refreshed, and realigned with the natural rhythm of life.
