Teachers

Jess Starrie, Certified 200 hour Akhanda Yoga teacher from Edmonton, Ab

Jess believes in the power of yoga to heal the body and soul. She enjoys creating a playful, fun and challenging yoga practice, and brings a safe, positive, nurturing space for her students both on and off the mat. She has studied with Yogi Vishvektu and has trained in Akhanda and Yin Yoga.

Jess first stepped on to her mat in a prenatal class 7 years ago, 5 months pregnant. She fell in love at first breath. Yoga has taught her approach life with love and humour, it has helped her find her voice, her strength and compassion for the world around her. She has developed a love for playful vinyasa and surrendering yin classes and loves to sharing this beautiful practice with those around her.

Alli Filleul, Certified 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher from Ottawa, ON

After walking into her first yoga class over 14 years ago, Alli has dabbled in attending different studios and styles of yoga. Growing up a Competitive Gymnast and Trampolinist, she was drawn to the strength and stretching components. The drive to practice regularly and embark on the spiritual side of yoga did not develop until after a few years in a stressful office position heading down the wrong career path for her. Without knowing why or how she found herself on her mat. With each practice the stress dissolved and her mind became clearer. Alli combines her experiences to build strong, fluid practices emphasizing toning, stretching and relaxation to let go of your mind and let your body guide you.
